The Mentell Movement (or Mentell for short) is a newly founded, locally run voluntary project which aims to assist men (of all ages and backgrounds) currently experiencing any and all mental health challenges, in a safe, fully confidential and informal environment.
The group meets every two weeks to discuss all things mental health related, from their own experiences to advice they might have for others. Some may just listen if they wish – there is never any pressure to share.
The FREE sessions are set up and run with two specific aims:
1) Meeting hour 1: provides the opportunity for men to talk about their experience with mental health with like-minded people in a confidential, open and safe space.
2) Meeting hour 2: takes the form of a workshop, in which relevant information and self-help tools will be introduced intended to aid participants in achieving a more desired state of mind.
